THE STRETCHING CURVE

(2nd Corinthians 4:7)
A combination of bad experiences yields good results in the end. For something to come out the other end refined, it has to go through some difficult processing.
Before you get comfortable, you have to face enormous challenges (Some form of Discomfort).

Nobody is ever willing to be Stretched beyond their comfort Zone.
But being stretched yields forth New Hidden Abilities.

Few people are not willing to move beyond average … no wonder few people stand out.
Average is the retreat many people move to when confronted by stagnation.

1. Stretching is rejected by Mediocrity.
A person who isn’t willing to get out of his/her comfort zone will never experience growth.

2. Ask questions for you to grow.

3. It always starts from the inside.
As soon as you begin working from the inside, around you constructive things begin working well.

4. Stretching always requires change.
Sometimes God allows us to do some things and later on come to our senses for us to come back. And He always waits to receive us.

5. It sets you apart from everybody.
It’s dependent on the ideas that stretch you.
Is it big? Is it small? Is it serious? Is it lethal enough?
When you see someone stretching and growing, look carefully at what is causing him/her to do it.

6. Stretching becomes a lifestyle.
There is always an urge that comes with seeing results. That’s why the rich always become richer and the poor … well, become otherwise. There’s always a pull towards profitability.
When you are always the champion in a group (It’s only your opinions that count), THEN IT IS TIME TO LEAVE!

The big question is … are you productive?

You can be in the midst of a bunch of hooligans who make you feel the best, but they aren’t telling you the truth.

7. Stretching gives you a sense of significance.
When you are stretched, it gives you a sense of importance towards something.
• How are my Leadership skills?
• Who have I been attracting?
• How much have I saved the last 6 months?
• What have I been able to achieve in the past few months?
• How much do I spend against what I receive?
• How much time do I give to individuals?

Has it yielded productive results and ideas?

• How much do I want to stretch before the end of the year?
• Do I have real friends or strategic personalities?
• How many personalities have you attracted who have given you an incremental push?

8. Stretching gives you limitless possibilities.
Is it pulling you towards something worth it? …

… Yes, it is. Don’t let Culture, Tradition, and Society bind you to stagnation.

There are things that you do not know about yourself … so there is only one way to find out (2nd Corinthians 4:7).

    • Yeah, very true. My favourite stories being from guys who’ve been insanely stretched like Sylvester Stallone and Walt Disney. You can look up their stories in the internet … Very inspiring.
Thank you for the response, carolnzila. I appreciate it. 😊
